Loss $1040 Disposition Pending Report Number 200001 View All Crime Logs January 29, 2020 Security Memo-Robbery 400 block Kingsland Overview Precautions Date/Time Occured 01/29/2020 at 8:00 PM Specifics At approximately 8:00 p.m., a graduate student was walking in the 400 block of Kingsland Ave., between Waterman Ave and Kingsbury Blvd, when two subjects approached him from behind. One subject displayed a handgun and demanded the student’s property. The subject took his backpack and both subjects ran south on Kingsland Ave. No injuries were reported Response University City Police Department is investigating Precautions Consider using the Campus2Home Shuttle Service or Metro’s public transportation system. December 7, 2019 Crime Alert-Robbery 700 block Westgate Overview Precautions Date/Time Occured 12/07/2019 at 12:24 AM Specifics At approximately 12:24 am there were two robberies in close proximity to each other in the 700 block of Westgate. The first robbery involved a female Washington University student. The students was walking south on Westgate when a male subject approached her and pushed her to the ground. The subject pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded her personal property. The subject took the student’s property. The second robbery took place at or near the same location. As the first robbery was taking place, a second female Washington University student was walking in the opposite direction when a second subject approached her. The subject appeared to be armed with a rifle and demanded the student’s property. The subject took the victims property. Both subjects then got into a dark colored vehicle parked nearby and drove away from the area. Response University City Police Department is investigating Precautions Be alert to your surroundings. Do not sit in your car to text or use electronic devices, and be observant while walking. For more information visit the Transportation Options page at transportation.wustl.edu. • Download the Noonlight Safety App. November 22, 2019 Crime Alert-Criminal Activity 6200 Block Clemens Overview Precautions Date/Time Occured 11/22/2019 at 10:00 PM Specifics At approximately 10 pm on Friday, November 22, 3 graduate students were walking in the 6200 block of Clemens, near Kingsland Ave. As they were walking, a person across the street yelled at them demanding their property. The students began walking away from the person when they heard a single gunshot. The students then ran away. The incident was reported to the University City Police. Police conducted a search of the area and determined that the person had left the area. No injuries were reported.
